It appears that the statistics component is making use of JDBC batched
statements.
One could patch that component to use simple statements or attempt to
disable the component in the Spring configuration. David Taylor would be
the best to comment on disabling the component.

So, the sqlbase jdbc driver doesn't support this jdbc feature.
