There are a bunch of fixes released for the 1.1.8 IBM JDK at IBM's site. I
suspect that the discrepancy is caused by 2 different versions of the same JDK.
I've been running IBM's JDK for 3 months now, and I haven't encountered too many
problems with it. Upgraded it recently to the latest build. Admittedly, I'm using
it in a very low volume, development environment.
