Have you checked out www.working-dogs.com, they host almost all of the
Java-Apache projects. The code that Kevin used is from the ECS package
which can be found at http://java.apache.org/ecs.
We had started a Project Management package but it got side tracked. I
would love to see what you have done if you could email me the code.
