OK, I'll try to get a working schema out of our discussions... it's high time 
I practiced my XMLSchema skills anyway...

Yes but implementing all the options available in XSchema is a major task. 
The idea in my markup was simply to provide a frequently used subset
of XMLSchema functionality, but a complete GUI for editing XMLSchema would
be terriffic...

I'd say it's a good sign of the vitality of the project and it provides 
everybody with a chance to contribute some code... ;/
