Did you have to let your web server know this is a web directory? Why
place /content here rather than in wwwroot?

I already have one with a bunch of stuff in it.

Hmmm, which jars? All the ones that come in Jetspeed-1.0/lib? Most of
these files are class files and are in a directory structure of some sort
(ie, org.apache.jetspeed.portal). Did you preserve this directory structure?

Or did you mean all the jars that come with JRun, those in the JRun/lib
directory?

I'm hoping you accidentally left out a level. I have a
/Jrun/jsm-default/services/jseweb/properties.

Hmmm, this looks suspiciously like setting up an alias using the JRun
Administrator. In fact, it must be the same. Oddly, the two aliases that
I've already set up don't appear in this file. It only contains the
default ones that come when you install JRun. I tried to set up Turbine as
an alias, but am not sure it is right. Ok, this look right?

servlet.jetspeed.code=Turbine
servlet.jetspeed.args=properties=d:\Jetspeed-1.0\src\config\TurbineResources
.properties
servlet.jetspeed.preload=true

I must admit I am a bit confused by this. Is Turbine a servlet? If so,
where is it?

Did that.

The page cannot be displayed

:( I really think I don't have the alias set up right. When I have set up
aliases in the past, I have given them the name of a servlet that exists in
the Jrun/servlets directory. But I don't have a servlet called Turbine
(that I know of) to put in there.

I have
  Win98 with PWS
  JRun 2.3.3 (don't know about patch, have build date of Aug 2, 1999)
  IE5

Thanks for your patient help. If I get this working, I'll help write the
installation instructions for JRun.  :)
