  Yep, the driver was the problem. I mistakenly got v.1.0 without
noticing that a 1.2 was available.
  Of course, fixing the problem just managed to introduce me to a whole 
new fresh bunch of problems.
  *sigh* I have to say that the Jet seems pretty cool, but I hope I
don't go insane before I manage to get it working... :)
  
  Ok... the cocoon portlet doesn't work anymore, and the page content is 
all mangled, i. e. I can see it if I stretch the browser window, but if 
I don't, the modules overlap a little (this has always happened, is it on
purpose or some problem with the (?) parsing?). I also had to change 
content.root to http://myhost/content to see the bullets (there is no 
spacer.gif). I can login but I can't customize anything because nothing 
happens (turbine just keeps fetching gifs in the background and it
eventually returns a blank page).

  So, where do I start? Is there some kind of sanity-checking-doc other
than the faq? Some good docs that explain how things work together so I
have a better grasp of what I'm doing?
