Understood.  I think this is just a documentation issue.  One can replace the
LoginUser action with your own for authentication purposes.  That is in fact
what we did here to use our own authentication.  We created our own LoginUser
action, authenticated the username/password, and populated the user object
ourselves.  I'm satisfied as long as the design of Jetspeed doesn't change
this feature ( which is really a feature of Turbine I believe ).

I belive that the population of the User object is key in turbine.  Anyone can
use whatever method they like to populate it, but the default peers use mysql.
 Anyway, I shot off the subject...
