Yes it is.  "Think" is a bad word.  Read the spec.  It will *tell* you
that this is one of its uses.  It just helps visualize a package design
for programmers new to a project.

Good luck.  This would require a *lot* of interconnect between
developers (many of whom work in different time zones).  Also the fact
that you will never find a round trip and cheap UML tool that supports
all operating systems. :(

Finally "a requirement... we switch.. to modeling via uml and finally
implementing by coding" is counter productive in OSS.  Most good hackers
worth their weight don't want to model or do documentation... they want
to hack :)
