Hi,

I would like to contribute to the making of Jetspeed.
I started to read the mailing list archive. It's going to take a while because not
everything there is relevant or up-to-date.

To give you a bit of background, in 1993-1994-..., I was helping in the development of
the Apache HTTP server version .8. Since then, I have been around quite a bit and got
exposed to all sorts of projects and technologies. So, although I may be a veteran
(myAge < 30, still), I am still stable and have all my brain in good order. ;-)

I believe my Java is solid.

I have a first question:

Do you have a set of UML (or UML-like) diagrams showing where Jetspeed's development
is at?

I could try to get Together/J for the group, if you are interested.

Those diagrams are the best clues to detect any architectural flaws...maybe there are
no such flaws in Jetspeed...don't know yet... :-)

Let me know what you think...

Subject: PersistentDocument -> DiskCache improvements

| So Saturday I made some changed to the Jetspeed PersistentDocument...
| actually it is gone and now is a DiskCache.
|
| I reworked the cache package into cache.memory and cache.disk. The
| PersistentDocument is now JetspeedDiskCache and has a public interface
| that developers should code to "DiskCache".
|
| I will change the documentation in 1.2 to reflect this.
|
| The interface is basically the same just a better design IMO.
|
| Just a heads up.
