Yes I can provide some more info.

Other servlets work, such as IsItWorking.

When I do http://website/servlets/jetspeed from a browser I get an class not found
exception. same with Jetspeed and JetSpeed in the jserv logs.

[10/04/2000 16:16:04:769] (ERROR) ajp12: Servlet Error: ClassNotFoundException:
Jetspeed
[10/04/2000 16:16:10:988] (ERROR) ajp12: Servlet Error: ClassNotFoundException:
jetspeed
[11/04/2000 09:22:43:994] (ERROR) ajp12: Servlet Error: ClassNotFoundException:
JetSpeed

I've double checked my classpaths, but with several different config files I could
have missed something.

When I enter /Turbine I do not get a class not found exception, but the browser hangs
and eventually the connection times out.

I have mysql installed and running, and I added the database turbine, per turbines
install, but I don't imagine I've made it far enough in the install for mysql to be
required.

I have a turbine log set in the .properties file, but no turbine log is created. This
makes me think that maybe turbine is the problem.

Should I try installing turbine seperatly from java.apache.org and get that working
first? I tried that once, but was unsuccessful.

can you tell us some more specific information(content of your error logs etc.)?
review the following files - web server's error log (error.log)
   - jserv's error log (mod_jserv.log or jserv.log)
   - turbine log file (turbine.log)regardsdaniel--
