 I'm answering to myself for this point. The variables are proxySet,
proxyHost and proxyPort. I modified the tomcat startup script to 
take this into account, and... BLAM. Jetspeed now fails to get
local URLs. It is not the proxy's fault (it works ok with Netscape for
instance). I believe that he flaw is in the httpUrlConnection class.

 Anyone experiencing similar problems ?
