Actually, both Jon and Kevin are right here. 

Yes, iCalendar is a protocol to tell your groupware client how to build
its database. We will have that functionality down the road.

In the the first release we will have a limited (ie single user)
web based calendar with not much support for sharing calendars and events.
The web based calendar will take information stored on the server and
render it as HTML for a browser.

This is where we could use the scheduler service of Turbine for reminders.
The details of this escape me as I havent really had time familiarize
myself with that service.

Now would be a good time for a status on the calendar. Stay tuned I will
write that up as soon as I am finished reading my mail.
