Hi,

after 2 days I give up installing Jetspeed.

Cobalt RAQ3 RH 6.1

I tried Apache 1.3 Jserv 1.1 Servlet 2 and 2.2

I tried Apache with and without Tomcat , Tomcat alone nothing.

Tomcat alone -> there is no way to get jetspeed even recognised -> my
servlets work fine

Which web.xml now ? conf/web.xml
webpages/WEB-INF/web.xml
or webapps/....

where do I have to put what is on the installation page?

Apache jserv servlet 2.0 nukes httpd (fine as there is some coocon.ext 2.2
or so it obviously wants 2.2)

so after installing Tomcat and putting the wrapper.classpath to all the
files in

lib/

ant.jar jasper.jar servlet.jar test webserver.jar xml.jar

I followed the FAQ-O-Matic Apache - jserv installation.

the best and closest I get to showing anything is:

DbBrokerImpl: Is now turned on.

org.apache.jetspeed.cache.PortletCache.<init>(PortletCache.java:91)

ut.java:107)
        at
org.apache.turbine.modules.LayoutLoader.exec(LayoutLoader.java:111)

then I tried changing xml -> jxml, as found in the archives

still the same

MemoryStore

The HTML Source of jetspeed says:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"
http-equiv=Content-Type></HEAD>
<BODY><XMP></XMP></BODY></HTML>

I greped now every single Archive Mail for MemoryStore

do I have to unjar it ?????????????????????????

funilly enough using jserv 2.0 didnt bring that Memorystore thing only the
load went up to the sky.

If it is that I use Apache 1.3.6 how and where do I find a Tomcat Jetspeed
(which seems to run fine) installation?

The docu is VERY confusing here too.

Where is this famous web.xml now what do I have to change in tomcat.conf +
tomcat.properties, do I have to change anything?

Can anybody please send me an example of config files I have to change and
their exact location.

For any of these configurations: Tomcat alone Apache Tomcat or Apache Jserv.

With regards
Nils
