I will work on a set of interfaces and base objects that define a weather
forecast system. My feeling is that the actual weather "business" objects
will be fairly generic and reusable across international boundaries.

While weather does vary greatly the fundamental information in a forecast
does not. 

What does vary widely like you were saying is the format that information
is stored in.

Stay tuned... Once we get a set of apis maybe you could help implement the
portion of code needed to interface to the South Africa Weather Bureau.
