We are interested in a development tool/environment for content
management. Thus we would like to know a little bit more about Jetspeed,
to see if Jetspeed feet our requirments.
Here are the key requirements:
Basic
.1 Multiple Languages Support for Content
.2 Indexing and Searching of Contents
.3 Extensibility/Integration Capabilities w/Other Tools
.4 Content Profiling w/Respect to Users
.5 Security
.6 Live Feed Support
1. Content Creation Tools and Interfaces
The tool shall have:
.1 The ability to import and store different word processor formats
.2 Support for multimedia formats
2.1 Support for posting and managing sets of related documents.
.3 Content posting mechanism.
.3.1 The ability to allow posting of contents remotely.
.3.2 Check-in/check-out locking mechanism.
2. Workflow
The tool shall have:
.1 Support configurable workflows with role based access control.
.2 Configurable email notification system
.3 Web Publishing
The tool shall have:
.1 Publishing mechanism with role based access control
.2 Search engine for searching of published content
.3 Support for staged publishing
Furthermore we would like to know if there is a milling list, CVS
access, possibility to be developper actor of the project, what are the
current goals for the project, how old is it,....
We have a really hard TTM requirement!
