I need to resolve a few bugs and affirm reliability before issuing any
broader announcements, but this is certainly the right list for
pre-announcement! I have not activated the database login and
authentication just yet, but wish to do so in the next rev.
I have used 1.2b1, plus a few patches for bugs. I did not deploy the
current CVS. There is one obvious bug: all of the Edit and Maximize
icons, plus the "Home" link are broken. They use the machine name of
my server (running on NT with the JRun engine). However, this machine
is hosting two domain names, on separate IP addresses. Should
jetspeed get the server name from the HTTP request header? Has this
problem been fixed in the current CVS?
Also, as a temporary workaround to the problem with updating newsfeeds
with no modify date, I've modified the disk cache logic to refresh all
files each cycle (hourly). This is not a big deal for my current
site, as it has only 4 news feeds configured.
