Hi,
I can't help you for your first question.

But I also use Visual Age (jdk1.2) and I can run Turbine. I think that Jetspeed would run too. I can debug step by step. To do this I had to install Apache Jserv on my Windows box and set the "ApJServManual On" in the Jserv.conf. I add all the classes of JServ, Turbine, JDBC, ... in Visual Age. Then I launch Jserv.main () and every things is running well.
I think that you can also run Tomcat in Visual Age. Just import all the Tomcat, Jetspeed, Turbine classes in VA.

Hope that help you.

Subject: JetSpeed newbie

Hi all,

I managed to get JetSpeed running (Windows 2000 with Jakarta-Tomcat and Apache). All looks very promising, however I have questions regarding the following:

- From the "Applications" content box I can select four options (amongst which is the Channel Browser). Nomatter which one I choose, I allways get the "First XSP page". Any clues to what's wrong?

- I tried to install JetSpeed, including all relevant required sources, into IBM's VisualAge for Java environment (based on JDK 1.1.8). I managed to get JetSpeed running partially (only displaying top and bottom navigation panels) but that was about it. Anybody out there tried this? With success?

Thanks...
