I got the same error and then a couple of us here figured out that the rss
feed was not conforming to the dtd..hence the xsl processor was giving an
error. Apparently Jetspeed is not very forgiving and once it gets such an
error it ignores all the portlets which are to be processed next.

If you change the ordering  of portlet invokations in the default.psml file
you can confirm this.

We came to the conclusion that Jetspeed should be modified so that it
catches xsl errors and then moves on to the next portlet rather than
abending

Hi,
I am STILL trying to setup jetspeed properly, everything seems OK, but it
has some problems fetching news from external URLs.
Here is a chunk of my log file.
