The way I merged branches, all code coming from old HEAD that is not harmful
should be still there. Maybe also harmful bugs that I have not discovered
yet... :-)
I did it in a 80%/20% way... Checked that everything compiled, fixed a couple
of big errors and that's it! I think this way of work with CVS is great, as you
can have working code after merging files that you have not even looked at!
Hopefully, you thousand eyeballs out there will correct me if I'm wrong! :-)
As we approach more to release quality code, my "hackish" coding style should
be replaced by people with more structured approaches. I'm well aware of my
limitations, and I will return to the bleeding (spec and implementation) edge
as soon as things in release 1.X are stable. I'm much better doing alpha code,
restructuring or fixing deep bugs than maintaining release code.
