After having tried to discuss the use the Turbine subclass vs service
API and miserably failed to build a constructive discussion with the
Turbine people, I propose the following vote on this list :
Remove the JetspeedServlet and move the current init code to a Turbine
service.
I'm -0 on this.
I strongly think this is wrong (those interested in a full explanation
can read the "Sublassing the Turbine Servlet" thread on the Turbine
mailing-list archive) but I don't want my judgement to block the move
if the majority feels it's right.
The only positive aspect of such a move is IMO to stop pissing off Jon.
If the vote is in favor of moving to a service init, some committer will
have to make the move as I have a very bad network connection until next
tuesday.
