thanks Raphael, looking closely at the code, there is a timeout value in
turbine's global cache service.  entries to this cache are set to expire in
a hard-coded value of 30 mins.  we've extended the TurbineResources class so
that it can be configured in the TR.P file.  if anybody needs help doing
this, contact me off-line.

AFAIK, it's not used. JR.p will need to be cleaned before a new release 
or even alpha/beta package is published.
