There is another way to support WAP and HTML.
We use different PSML pages for different devices that
are provided through a multi-device profiler (ultimately
this will be the profiler David is implementing :)
Our PSML pages contain references to the same multi-device
portlets, e.g. we have a stock portlet and a weather portlet
which can be used from WAP phones as well as PCs. They look
at the preferred mime type to determine the output required
by the device on a per-request basis.
We intend to give back the improved WAP support required
to make this work, see the proposal that we recently posted.
We have finished coding of the improved WAP support already,
currently we are testing it.
Best regards,
Thomas
