The answer is: It doesn't work with the old version. You only have one 
user.psml and so there is no way of telling jetspeed which content toask 
for. It's a hard-coded hack that isn't more than a demo.

HOWEVER - the new WAP support is checked in.  ;-) Now there are two psml 
files, a <user>.psml nd a <user>WML.psml.
