This reminds me of another problem...if you ever have a problem loading a
URL (e.g. because of firewall or socks problems, etc.) it gets marked as
bad, and the system never tries that URL again...is there some idea of
marking it bad temporarily but not forever? For example when I restart the
server later on, maybe the connectivity problems are resolved and I could
reach that URL.
The only solution I know is to periodically delete the
datasources.properties file.

I didn't touch the customizer at all, I've been way too busy fixing the WML
support. WHat kind of errors do you get inthe log file ?
BTW, can you try to improve the WML navigation now that the hard-coded
dependencies on the different controls and controllers are removed ?
My WML knowledge is not very good so I think it'll be easier for you.

I plan to address this mainly by preloading the cache in the webapp dir
with the relevent documents. This way we keep the remote update feature
which is cool but still let people run a trial jetspeed without internet
connection.
Adding purely local files is also a good idea.
In any case, I think it would be good to document how to use a proxy
in the FAQ.
