I agree that their should be at least a 1 page document describing how to
use the different portlets, setting their parameters etc.

For example, what is a clear portlet? etc, etc...

Another example: If you wanted to add a static page to display within a
portlet, How do you use the fileserver portlet? what are it's parameters?
What should be in the html, what should be left out of the html? I'm
finding some of these things by trial and error.

Other things that are hard to figure out, is how does the templating work
with jetspeed. Turbine docs mention velocity, and webmacro. But it appears
that jetspeed is using jsp.. How should jetspeed users use this templating
system.

Maybe a small tutorial would be good, a getting started with your first
page, adding your own content, Changing navigations, or headers etc..

Sorry, I feel bad asking for these things, when I don't currently have the
time to contribute much to the project myself.

Appreciate everyones efforts to provide us with what we have so far!

Thanks again,

Mike Warne

If you want to add new content, you should look for info on OCS format
(feeds) or RSS format(channels). You can produce new rss files and feed
them to Jetspeed using a ocs file. These files can be static or
generated by a cgi-bin or servlet.

The customiser is rather sketchy by now. You can customise presentation
by editing the psml files, in WEB-INF/psml

Documentation on how to add information would be good. Complaining about
what does not work or feature wishlilst are also very valuable
resources.
