It is tomcat. I think it is related with Keep-Alive: connections and
Internet Explorer. What the error means is that tomcat received a RESET
while trying to write to the socket. This is caused by the other side of
the connection.

Not yet. It should make no difference, apart from the usual bunch of new
bugs. I think other people is using Tomcat 4.0 with Turbine, so it
should work, since most of the lower level is handled by Turbine.
