Just tried and yes, I do get the same result if I use the shutdown script,
even if I don't
make any request to the webapp.
If I just kill Catalina (this is what I usually do), everything is fine...
The bug only seems to kick in when the war is first uncompressed by catalina.
If you the following:
- stall a new jetspeed.war
- start catalina
(expnd war)
- kill catalina
- start catalina
- shutdown catalina
the expanded war structure is OK
If you do this:
- stall a new jetspeed.war
- start catalina
(expnd war)
- shutdown catalina
the expanded directory only seems to keep files/directories starting with "w".
In the release notes for 4.0b1, it's mentioned that there are bugs on war
deployment but since I can't currently check the bug database (looks like a
network issue) I copy this to Craig just in case...
