You're a path opener here. SPDY requires NPN to work. Right now NPN in Java is implemented as a hack of OpenJDK code (we modify OpenJDK classes) that must be put in the bootclasspath. If Android happen to use the same OpenJDK classes, and if Dalvik has a way to specify our modified ones in preference to the default ones, then you may be good. I did not try, so I don't know whether this is possible at all.
