It may happen for any response that has no body, such as redirects, etc.

You can:
HeaderFrame frame = ...;
MetaData metaData = frame.getMetaData();
if (metaData.isResponse()) {
MetaData.Response response = (MetaData.Response)metaData;
int status = response.getStatus();
// etc.
}
