This is WRONG <web-app xmlns="https://jakarta.ee/xml/ns/jakartaee"; xmlns:xsi=" http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"; xsi:schemaLocation="https://jakarta.ee/xml/ns/jakartaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_5_0.xsd"; version="5.0"> This is RIGHT <web-app version="5.0" xmlns="https://jakarta.ee/xml/ns/jakartaee"; xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"; xsi:schemaLocation=" https://jakarta.ee/xml/ns/jakartaee https://jakarta.ee/xml/ns/jakartaee/web-app_5_0.xsd";> I copied and pasted from jersey/examples/bookstore-webapp/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml I know it is wrong because if you upload the created project into eclipse it lights up in red with the message Multiple annotations found at this line: - There are '5' errors in 'web-app_5_0.xsd'. - schema_reference.4: Failed to read schema document ' http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/ web-app_5_0.xsd', because 1) could not find the document; 2) the document could not be read; 3) the root element of the document is not <xsd:schema>. I know it is 5 errors but lists only 3) . Could be 4. It is what it is. Regards
