This is kind of a whine, I suppose. :-) Several years ago, I bought one of
those dish "wands" - a sponge attached to a hollow handle, and you filled
the handle with dish soap. That way you can quickly wash a dish or two
without filling the sink with soapy water. Works great, when we remember to
use it. ;-) Well, a few months ago we moved, and our new house uses well
water. The well water is very hard, and so we have a water softener
attached to the system. Blech! Now it takes forever to rinse anything
(dishes, our bodies, laundry). A tiny bit of dish soap will make a HUGE
pile of soap suds, which are then almost impossible to rinse without running
385 gallons of water. So, washing a coffee cup or a spoon takes forever! I
know I could figure out a better system of keeping my dirty dishes from
morphing into the Dirty Dish Mountain, but I just haven't felt like dealing
with it yet. But I've got to figure out something soon!

Pam.
