I for one have a list in my head and several on bits of paper of all those little jobs that one day I will get around to doing. You know the sort of thing, they will only take ten minutes and will make life easier. So why haven't I done them all?
Today I got all those pieces of paper and made a new list on one piece of paper, added to it the ones I have in my head and hey presto I have quite a big list of 'Little Jobs'! I am going to baby step my way through the list, completing little jobs as I go. I hope to do at least one a day ... we'll see. I am keeping the list in the kitchen where I can add to it and where I can find it. I have made a start and completed one already, I sewed the seam on that jumper that I have been waiting to wear since I got it (it was a friends cast off), so now I can wear it LOL. It took 10 mins, five of those to find the correct colour thread, one to thread the needle and the rest to actually complete the task. Its now back in the laundry basket where it has lived for quiet a while, I didn't wash it because I didn't want the seam to undo any more in the wash. Tomorrow it will get washed with the other woollens. The list is made up of all sorts of odd things, some are just plain silly and when I look at the list I wonder why I didn't do them then and there. The reason at the time was probably either because I was in a hurry, on my way somewhere or just couldn't be bothered at the time. Yes I too suffer from procrastination LOL, don't we all to some degree or other. I am not going to necessarily work through my list in the order they are written, some days I will probably pick one that I fancy or skip the next one because I don't like it. I am thinking now that maybe I should set aside time of a Saturday to complete a little job I don't like, I have more time on a Saturday and DH is there to encourage me. It wouldn't sound like much of an achievement anywhere else, but here we all know what small achievements really mean :O) Have any of you got a Little Jobs List?
