Hi Louise,
Thank you so much for the welcome. There's a lot of work to do when I look
around and I guess that filing is a big issue . I'm a great paper hoarder so
there's my own domestic mail, ordinary household stuff, some of which is
sorted, plus cards, letters and interesting articles and it's mated and
multiplied in drawers and containers!
There are other clutter areas too - my daughter is an art
student so we have lots of bits and pieces connected with her work, though
not in her room which is small but lovely. The work and items connected with
it go elsewhere.
Filing apart, I'd say my second area of concern is books,
too many books.I used to think that you could never be too rich, too thin or
have too many books! Well I didn't quite make it on the first 2 and now I
feel that I've got too many books! Partly it's because we got rid of one of
our large bookcases, also I can't resist bringing new books in . In
consequence I have piles of books on top of my wardrobe and on my bedroom and
it just doesn't look that attractive! Some of those books just have to go!
Might need to ask a kind friend to drive me to Charity shops to unload some
(I don't have a car and whilst I have some great friends I don't always like
asking). I'll have to involve friends and family in this decluttering
project! Anyway first things first I need to get sorting! Thank you for your
encouragement. Regards Geralyn.
