It is wonderful you could be there for your daughter's friend. We had a similar situation when youngest was in high school. She stayed for a couple weeks until she resolved the problems with her parents. I was glad we could be there for her. Though between you and me and the gate post, she isn't one of my favorite people. She wasn't in any kind of trouble, just rebelling against parent's authority. They were/are ultra conservative and she just wanted some space. They worked it out. Hope this girl and her parents can, too.
