Boy, I almost could have written your post! I'm trying to do some serious decluttering too, and have been a packrat at heart for all my life. I think I'm finally getting to the point where I can't take it anymore and need to have space in my home to breathe. Hopefully, the more I do, the easier it will get, and I'll also not let stuff creep back in, which is so easy to do. I recently went back to using Julia Morganstern's "Organizing from the Inside Out" to help me decide where to find a home for everything and for help purging, etc. Too bad we don't live near each other so we could help each other in the tossing. My DH is the same exact way as yours. He'll just pitch stuff without a second thought, even if it's something we truly should keep. He's not very discriminating. Right now the worst place is our bedroom, a catchall for everything! > We've straightened it a few times, but it just seems to grow junk! lol... I'm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have 2 sons - soon to be 19 and a 4 YO, 5 in April. Yep, our bedroom is probably the worst, too. (well, the absolute worst is probably my older son's BR, but it's in the attic, so we don't have to look at it. LOL) I'm determined to get my BR cleared out. I have an interest in Feng Shui, and having a nice clear, serene bedroom is so important. But it definitely is the easiest place to dump junk! > I'm really hoping to get much help & support here, & to get to know all of > you...it seems like a wonderful, warm family here! Welcome, and you're right - this group is great!
