My Dearest Debbie... Can you email me, please?
I might have a solution for your temp work problem. I need someone to help me with my book business, and it could be done at your convenience. Of course, this would mean that I have to keep my house presentable. So maybe this would be a win-win-win situation! Anyway, email me if you are interested and we can discuss it further. As for me, I've been inpatient AGAIN! I hope that I'm home for good now! A hospital is no place to rest. ;) My house looks like a bomb has gone off... but since I am under orders to rest and am banned from any work.. I guess either my family will have to pick up the slack, or it will just remain a mess until I'm up to the tasks. Over the past 6 weeks, I have been home from the hospital a total of 6 days. The most recent emergency was a sudden blood clot in my stomach where they just did a 5th surgery last week. Now I am receiving 2 shots a day into my stomach for the next 9 days. Yesterday was day 1 or 10. I don't like it, but it sure beats being in the hospital for another 10 days. Today my goals must include: Balance checkbooks Update MS Money for all transactions Package 7 book orders Answer emails Find a new dentist Get my health records to a new doctor Get papers in order to file for energy assistance File papers that are covering my desk and overflowing my inbox Put an ad in the newspaper to sell a king size waterbed Make chicken and dumplings for dinner Fold clothes (about 15 loads worth, no kidding) Put clothes away Invoice new hosting clients Make bed Of course, I'd like there to be some cleaning and decluttering on the list, but alas, that will just have to wait until I'm a little more recovered. So for now, I will keep it light. I've missed you all so much... but I'm still here! Just like the Energizer Bunny... I keep going and going and going! :) I'll email later and let you know what I actually got accomplished! As Always, Nancy Lee Access WebWorks. . . You mean you guys don't still have your Christmas trees up? Mine comes down when it no longer takes up any water (or when DH threatens me-LOL). I swear they are still turning on their outside lights in my neighborhood-DH did take ours down or Saturday. I left the big wooden snowman on the step, the small wooden one on the mailbox, & the one on the front door. After all they are winter decorations not Christmas ones. A lot of the neighbors keep candles lit in their windows until practically summer. In fact, I can see through some windows that people are still light their trees at night. They may be artificial but mine is real. It hasn't dropped many needles yet but they are starting to come off in your hand if you tug on a branch. I have been so busy trying to catch DS up with his schoolwork that I just haven't had the time to think about the decorations. I made an appointment for tomorrow morning at a temporary employment agency. I wish I didn't have to go that route since I make so little headway on the clutter when I am at home. I would like to make $l,000 so I could keep my kids in private school next year but I don't want to put in that many hours so I don't know if that is a feasible goal or not. I have to be available to take my mom & my aunt & my DS to all of their doctor appts. & I usually have a couple a month also. I can't work weekends since DH only has off about every 6th or 7th one. I was hoping I could just be one of those floater girls that goes in when someone is sick or on vacation & answer the phone or type but I haven't typed anything except a kid's report or email in about 13 years. I also run the resale shop at school on Fridays so I prefer not to work then unless it was like from 10:00 - 2:00 & then I could open & close & my helper could wait on customers. If I have to take my boys out of the school next year I don't know what will happen to the resale shop since we have had virtually no volunteers this year. I don't know what they are paying for parttime jobs in Delaware but I do know friends that have gotten from $9.00 -$13.00 for temp. jobs recently. I have been so tired lately during the day even with my medication that I doubt that I could make it more than a day or two a week. My medication works fairly well wihen I take it & I have it in those little boxes separated by the days so you can remember to take it...but....I went to refill it today & discovered that Tuesday & Thursday were still in there so that explained the extra tiredness this past week. I think I am going to have to hook my carkeys to them in order to remember each day. Or better yet put them in my coffee cup...you know I can't start the day without my coffee with the cinnamon vanilla creamer in it!!!!! Anyway, please keep me in your prayers tomorrow morning at 9:00 since that is when I will be at my interview. DH also has an appointment tomorrow afternoon with a foot surgeon to check out his foot. He has had a bone fall away from the muscle around the ball of his foot (between his second toe & his arch) & he has been in a lot of pain for weeks. Of course he doesn't bother to take as much as a Tylenol for it but that is a man for you (sorry guys if you're out there) LOL. He stands on his feet all day in the lab & that is very hard on the feet anyway. We finally have the long awaited reservations for Disney over Easter vacation so his feet better be in tiptop shape by them. With my bad back one of us has to be able to do the rides with the boys & walk the jillion miles that I know that are ahead of us. Boy I did it again- from Christmas trees to feet!!! Boy can I jump subjects. I better quit while I am ahead.
