Way to go on cleaning out your freezer! Nothing like making a fresh start, especially when it comes to food. I hate cleaning out old food, but it's a necessity.
I'm interested in the once a month cooking too, but I have this phobia about freezing cooked food. I never seem to use it once its frozen. Let me know how it works if you try it. I think I could at least cook up large batches of ground meat and freeze them to use later.
