Hello all The weekend is nearly over, the evening meal is in the oven after which I shall retire to bed, early start in the morning. Monday is the longest day of my week.
It has been a good and productive weekend here. DH has been decluttering between other tasks and the football! There's a bag of rubbish and a large pile for the donation bags to show for his efforts. It was a good idea on my part to take DH to the craft shop this morning, I was only in there for three quarters of an hour and although they hadn't got what I went for I did come away with several items LOL. DH actually enjoyed his tour of the shop ... he wandered off as soon as we entered the store. Apparently he got a lot of ideas for future projects whilst we where there. He has also agreed to make the frames I need, I just hope they will be ready when I am LOL. I spent the afternoon in the computer/craft/office tidying up after my blitz on the filing. I surprised myself and filled a large bag with rubbish and even decided to part with some of the books that I had decided to keep, they are now in my pile 'to auction'. This afternoon DH and I pickled eggs, to be honest I didn't realise that DH liked them. I was doing the weekly stock take in the fridge and discovered that we had more eggs than we needed that had to be used up quickly. It was DH that suggested we pickle them. This is a lesson that I am learning again and again, if we don't need more than six eggs don't buy more than eight eggs because we'll end up throwing them away!! These particular eggs where on sale and it was cheaper to buy twelve eggs than six, how could I resist. I have made a long list of all the things I need to get done before the summer, it surprised me how long the list was LOL. I need to get these things done, I can't describe why its just a feeling that I must have them done by the summer. Maybe this summer is going to be too hot to do anything, maybe I need to make room for new things, maybe ... I can't explain it, I just have to get it all done before summer. So I made my list and boy am I going to be busy LOL. So for this coming week I have chosen to sort through my summer clothing, just sort mind, it is far too early in the year to start washing it to freshen it up for wearing, it'll be a couple of months yet before its even warm enough to consider that LOL. The spring cleaning that I started some weeks ago is well on the way to being finished. I have one room left to clean thoroughly from top to bottom and that is the hall, stairs and landing. I will have to wait a while to complete this particular task, I need DHs help as I am not very good on ladders! I expect it will have to wait until he has found a new job, patience, my mother keeps telling me is a worthy thing to have, I have yet to attain it though. Once I decide something needs doing I need to do it LOL. Well I best make a move out of this chair and attend to our evening meal and the final basket of laundry to be put away, so I will close here and talk to you again tomorrow. Louise PS I did order the book 'The Life Laundry', it looked so good and I am so curious that I decided that I just had to have it. Once I have read it I have promised myself that I won't keep it .. I'll pass it on to someone else!
