After spending Friday evening on filing (which was not planned) and Saturday
on the attic and general housework & laundry (which was), I gave up on carpet
cleaning.

Instead I worked in my yard on Sunday for about 5 hours. It was a beautiful,
sunny day and my ds & I were out surveying the work that needs to be done on
the gutters, wood replaced, painting, etc. Suddenly it seemed like a good
idea to work outside, which I always find therapeutic. We cut back some
bushes & ferns, did some weeding and I edged the front & back yards. I
figured it was time to get the yard in order for spring.

I'm glad now that I did, because we're in for a major cold front the next few
days. Expecting a hard freeze, which we haven't had all winter... Yesterday I
tacked up the plastic around my potted plants on the porch, which I'd opened
to let them get some air. I have to go home and cover the geraniums in the
garden - they've survived great all winter and I don't want them to die back
now...

So the weekend challenge was a success for me, even though it didn't go as
planned.

Diane
