Hi to everyone on the JFC list, I introduced myself several months ago, and read all the posts faithfully, but have yet to post any additional messages. So,here goes!I'm going to re-introduce myself. I am 51 years old, have been married for 24 years(25! in August,2002).My husband has been with me through thick and thin(literally and metaphorically),and has always been very supportive. I have two sons, 12 and 19. My outlook on life is that we are all traveling this road together, and anything we can do or say to make that journey more pleasant for each other, then, that's a blessing. I am a teacher and have this week off-of course, there's no vacation from being a parent, and spent most of this week taking my son here and there. Today,he is spending the day with a friend, and I will have the rest of the day,and early evening All TO Myself. However, it is not REALLY All to Myself. My home with ALL its clutter remains with me. I have had a problem with clutter for as long as I can remember. I save everything, and have not yet organized any of it! I have plastic shopping bags full of stuff-not sure what's in them at this point and the only way to find out is to actually empty them and "sort" through them. The task seems overwhelming. But,I'm resolved to start the project and thought the best way to start is by stating my intentions to all of you. I'm going to start in the l.r. and start with one area at a time. My piano has become a catch-all,loaded with stuff, and is so dusty,it is very visible. The tv table is long and is also cluttered and dusty. In fact,I am sitting in the l.r.and this computer table is dusty and cluttered. I could say the same about every room in my home...my bedroom is the worst! clutter everywhere, on the chairs, on my dresser, and everywhere there is a table/flat surfact to accumulate junk and clutter. So,I am determined to make a start and would appreciate suggestions on how to stay motivated and not give up!Thanks, and it's great to be part of such a supportive group!
