Joan,

Toss it in with a damp towel (one just out of the washer). The dampness will help get the wrinkles out without actually wetting the clothes. I do this all the time - I drape the clothes around the garage to mostly dry, then throw them in with a damp towel and 1/2 a Bounce sheet. They come out dry, soft and unwrinkled and with less shrinkage of cotton clothing. (I must admit that sometimes it requires a second towel if I forget to get them out right away - but it still works...)
