Thanks for the info. The gel stain sounded really cool. I will hold on to this until I find the right dresser.
And don't worry, you're not a freak - I like certain aspects of housekeeping myself - particularly things that show clear results. I'm also very particular about certain things being done just right. I like to paint - especially walls. It is so satisfying to see the obvious results. I also LOVE using a pressure washer on the walls, brick, sidewalks, whatever. I don't have one myself, but I borrow one from a friend and have a "blast" with it - literally!
So I'm thinking I might like refinishing furniture, though I haven't really tried it. Do you use some type of sander, or is it all done by hand? I guess I should check out some websites about furniture refinishing before I get started.
I have lots of "fun" to look forward to. I need to repaint all my inside walls, paint all my woodwork (which I DO NOT look forward to) and paint the exterior of my house. Lots of painting ahead... Just have to figure out when I'll fit it in between the soccer games and tournaments. I think the interior painting will wait til summer when soccer has ended, but I would like to get the outside work done before it gets too hot. But the exterior painting is waiting on gutter removal and replacement of rotted wood (which I need help with)- as well as pressure washing. It seems like everything hinges on something else...
Oh well, everything will happen in its own time - whenever that happens to be!
