Hello Littermates,
Well, my due date came and went. The closest I got to labor (and my water breaking) was spilling a soda in my lap at Burger King on Sunday (in dh's new truck no less). My pants soaked up most of it. LOL I did lose part of my mucus plug last night. Yuck! Then I got REALLY nervous. I was acutally shaking. The first one you are scared because you don't know what to expect, the second one you are scared because you know what is coming. I was scared of going into labor and not getting the epidural. I REALLY want the epidural. Every time I lie (lay?) down I swear this kid invites all his baby friends over and they do a conga line in my tummy. That and I wake up sweating about once an hour. What was I thinking? If I ever mention wanting another child would someone smack me? Just reach through the computer and whomp me upside the head.
I went to the doctor today. I am still very low (like I couldn't have told him that), still not dialated BUT I am 50% effaced. Which means things should start happening soon. Hopefully tomorrow as the one doctor who I really want to deliver me is leaving the country for a week on Wednesday and is on call on Tuesday (tomorrow). I have a non stress test at 1pm on Friday and if nothing happens before then or over the weekend, I go in on Monday to be induced. Been there, done that. The other doctors (there are 4 altogether) are good and I like them, but the one is my favorite and he delivered dd and dealt with my blood clot afterwards (long story). My whole familly likes him. And he is very gentle. :)
Dd is staying at my mom's tonight. Perhaps tomorrow I can get something done between the phone calls every 10 minutes (lots of people calling me to "check up" on me). It is nice that they are concerned, but I can't get a thing done!! I need to do laundry and vacuum. Nothing big, just catch up. And since dd isn't here....why not? The house should stay clean. Mom's house? Another story. HE HE HE.
