Boy have I made a mess!! All I wanted to do was pay a bill & get it in the
mailbox before the mailgirl came. Just once I wish I could complete what I
start out to do without getting distracting in a jillion different
directions. I opened the top of the hutch to get out a stamp & an address
label. Big mistake!!! The stamp page was stuck to an envelope next to it &
a bunch of stuff tumbled out on the floor. Next thing you know I have all of
it spread all over the table getting sorted. I wanted to work on the living
room today & do some more wash but now it is 12:30 & I have a big mess on the
table which has to be cleaned up before the boys come home since that is the
only surface we have in the house to do homework & eat. Speaking of eat...I
forgot to thaw out anything for dinner again. I got a call that my new
glasses are in & I wanted to stop & pick them up before I pick the boys up
from school. To top it all off I got a reminder call from my doctor about an
appointment I have for tomorrow morning for a follow-up checkup. She won't
renew my medications (blood-pressure & pain killer for back) unless I come in
every few months to get my blood pressure checked. I have my own blood
pressure cuff so I periodically check it myself. That is all she does when I
am in there. She doesn't even look in my mouth or ears but it still costs
the same $10.00 copay. I have at least 2 copays a week between my DH, my
older DS & myself. When younger DS had strep 2 weeks ago it was his first
time being sick in about 2 years. The wait in her office is at least an hour
so my whole morning will be shot. Maybe I will wait & pick up my glasses on
the way home from there tomorrow instead of quitting my paper sorting early
today. Boy do I have a headache -- where is Samantha Stevens or Jeanie the
Genie when you need them?
