Alvin Hall is the presenter of programme in the UK that was
called Your Money or Your Life. Every week they looked at a different family
or business or couple, sisters whatever and sorted out their finances. They
took a long hard look at where their money went and looked at the psychology
of their buying habits. Alvin then formulated a plan for them and then
checked up on them again 3 months later he'd visit them again to see how
they got on. Also they talked to the ppl's family and friends and again when
he re-visited them. It was a great programme as Alvin was so jolly and
laughed all the time, he seemed a really nice person. He is black and from
Texas, I think his family were farmers, I'm not sure but I think he used to
farm too. I know he was really broke at one point and started a new business
from scratch. hope this helps.

Just catching up on some old email & wondered who Alvin Hall was. It is a
common name in this household-my FIL (now desceased 2 yrs). My DH & my son
are all Charles Alvin Hall & my DH's uncle is Alvin Hall. Their Mom must
have been a chipmunk fan or something to name both of her son's Alvin!!! At
least one was a first name & one a middle name. I had a friend growing up
whose father was named Alvin (the chipmunk) and her mother was Winnie (the
Pooh) or so I used to call them!!!! LOL Okay, Okay I am rambling about
nothing now. I'll quit.
