Christy -

Of course the best way to handle this is to put them in albums right away -
DUH - but I never seem to get that done immediately. My solution is to keep a
plastic box in a cabinet and as I bring home developed pictures I put the
envelope in behind the last one. I try to date the top and make a note of
what's in there - Christmas, vacation, whatever. That way when I'm ready to
put them in the album they're all together and in order.

It doesn't take too long to get them in the albums if they're in order. Last
time I put mine in albums (umm, that was about 18 months ago...) I had 2
boxes full - about 4 or 5 years worth of pictures. It took me two afternoons
to get them in the albums, which I did while I was on the bed one weekend
with an injury.

Of course this won't help when they're all scattered around - just a
suggestion to keep up with them in the future. Perhaps while you're gathering
them you could get a plastic box to file them in order before putting them in
albums. (a cardboard shoe box would also work for now.) Somehow getting them
"contained" makes it easier to deal with and if you have to stop you know
just where you left off.

Good luck. Thanks for reminding me that I have to put that on my to-do list
again.

Diane
