My bf, who was pregnant with triplets, had an emergency c-section on March 14.
She and her husband have been married for 12 years and this was her first pregnancy. They visited a fertility specialist to become pregnant. Every time my bf had a family member who was having yet another baby she became more heartbroken.  She has had several medical problems during this pregnancy, and had the c-section at 23 weeks, despite 8 weeks of bedrest prior to her 23rd week

I visited them last night and was able to go back to the neonatal icu. All 3 babies and holding their own.  They remain on the vent, ng tubes, & IV's.  They are under bili-lights. They are smaller than I could have imagined. They were all 12.25 inches long and weighed less than 2 lbs. One of the girls--Kayleigh, was kicking and moving well.  Jackson, the boy was sucking on his thumb. The other girl, Emma, had to have her oxygen percentage on the vent increased, but at the time she was stable.

Janie looks like she is doing well. While we were there she had several phone calls and family members in to visit.  Reggie, her husband, is on a first name basis with the neonatal nurses and is well informed on their condition.  He even educated me & my sister, who is also a nurse, on a few things! LOL!

Please keep them all in your prayers,
with love,
Wanda
