Hello all I can hear the keystrokes echoing in here as I type... the room is practically empty now, save for this desk and my PC, the next to be moved and the essentials from my paid book keeping job and a temporary desk.
Hit three snags yesterday: 1 There's a load of paperwork to be collected on Tuesday (paid book keeping job) 2 Half the room has no skirting board (baseboard) and some replastering is needed 3 The walls are so bad they will have to be papered before they are painted even after a lot of preparation. Is nothing simple LOL... The rooms going to take longer than even I expected its also going to be a lot more work, whilst this change over is going on I will have to be able to use my PC and have easy access to the stuff relating to the book keeping task. There's going to be a lot of dust and wet stuff thrown around in here (paint, sugar soap, etc) but there is no where else for me to do my book keeping job. Ok so having thought about the problems I came to an obvious but not ideal solution :O< I have erected a temporary desk in the middle of the room, its small and is going to be cramped but at least I can cover the lot with one plastic sheet and there will be plenty sitting on the floor to anchor down to stop dust getting in. So I can have my PC and books, complete my book keeping work and still get on with the change over. I can do this, its just going to take time, it has its advantages though .. I can't do any housework in the living room because its full of stuff LOL. I get out of all but the necessary tasks until the jobs finished. Well I can't make this cup of tea spin out any longer, its time to switch off the PC and move it across to the new desk. I'll email again when its set up again. Louise
