Diane & Louise,

That's a great idea. I'm a dish nut. If I had an extra room, I would
collect dishes. Aye-yi-yi. Granny passed 9 years ago and they've just been
sitting there all this time. My sister finally went to visit my Aunt, which
was the requirement to get the dishes in the first place. I know that
sounds bad, but a plane trip was involved. The dishes aren't all that I
remembered, some I do, but most I really don't. I kept the lime green milk
pitcher, the speckled pink teapot, a lovely blue oval platter, the odd green
& unmatching salt & pepper shaker, the yellow sugar bowl (I do remember
this). I will make a display of these items with the few pieces of new
Fiesta ware I have in the window shelves. I've taken 13 different little
plates of several different sizes and will hang those above the entry way
into the kitchen. The bigger plates, I have chosen a few to hang around the
kitchen walls. That still leaves quite a bit. Most of the dishes appear to
have been made in different years. If the color matches, some of the plates
have deeper lips than others. I've got about 3 or 4 different colors all
together & definately 2 different patterns. I may have to ebay the coffee
cups and coffee plates since I have no use for those, but I doubt I'll get
enough out of it to be of any value. My sister also informed me that the
shipping bill was being sent to me. I forced her to bring my half home with
her, so, we'll see.

Warmly,
Theresa

Theresa -

I'm with Louise - I think you should consider using your grandmother's
dishes
- unless you don't particularly like them. In that case I would consider
passing them on to another relative who might appreciate them, or possibly
selling them or giving them away. You don't HAVE to keep them if you don't
want them.

Diane
