I'm thinking about my next set of goals, hope to do a big western camping trip this summer. (My children are at the perfect age to travel - independent and they still WANT to be with me - so I'm taking advantage of this time while it lasts) I'm sure by next summer DD will be of a different mind.

Okay, this is OT also, but how old are your kids again? I'm thinking son 16 & daughter about 12? My boys will be 11 & 16 soon. I've been thinking about a camping trip this summer also. It would be a great reward for all the hard work and delcuttering efforts we've made & I had the same idea - they're still willing to travel with me...
I was wondering where you have in mind out west that it won't be scorching in the summer? Or are you just tougher than me? I was considering the mountains of Tennessee, hoping that it might be cooler there... Summer before last we took a great trip to Arkansas, but it was soooo hot, I was glad we had decided not to camp!
